Art & Community is a creative project designed to bring people of all ages together through accessible, inclusive art workshops, culminating in a public exhibition celebrating local talent. Building on the success of a previous Arts in East Herts funded project, this initiative responds directly to participant demand for further opportunities to create and exhibit their work.
The project will offer a series of free, grant-supported art workshops throughout September at my studio, “& by Donna Reeves”, based in Ware, Hertfordshire. Financial barriers will be removed by providing all materials at no cost. Sessions will be tailored to different age groups and abilities, encouraging confidence, creativity, and social connection within the community. Participants will develop their work over several weeks in preparation for a final exhibition.
The programme will culminate in an exhibition in October, held at the same studio, showcasing participants’ artwork in a professional and celebratory setting. In partnership with “Always Bee You,” adults with difficulties, will gain valuable work experience by supporting the premiere event, including serving drinks and preparing canapés.
Art & Community aims to strengthen local connections, support wellbeing through creativity, and provide meaningful opportunities for participation and celebration.

Adults- Tuesday (evening )15th September 7-8.30pm
Adults- Wednesday 16th September 10.30am -12
Kids: Friday 11th September 5-6pm
Exhibition: Friday 16th October 6.30-9pm
