Seascape at Sunset – Oil Painting Trial Lesson
In this first trial lesson, we will create a beautiful seascape at sunset using oil paints.
We will learn how to create a warm sunset sky by blending different colours, such as blue, purple, pink, orange and yellow. We will then paint the sea using horizontal brushstrokes and learn how to create the reflection of the sunset on the water.
During the lesson, we will also explore basic oil painting techniques, including colour mixing, blending, brush control, light and shadow, and creating depth.

By the end of the 90 minutes, you will have experienced:
Colour mixing → Brush control → Blending → Light & shadow → Layering → Horizontal brushstrokes → Creating depth → Simple composition → Adding details
About the artist:
Gresilda Zani is a passionate artist with over 17 years of experience in the fine arts. Throughout her artistic journey, she has continuously developed and refined her skills alongside her studies in Architecture and through private training with professional and experienced painters.
Her background in architecture has further strengthened her understanding of composition, proportion, perspective, colour, and visual balance, which she brings into her artistic practice.
With a strong passion for painting and a dedication to continuous learning, Gresilda combines her technical knowledge with her personal artistic expression to create engaging and thoughtful artworks.
